A customer asked if I could relocate the battery for his active pickups as currently it was behind the pickguard which wasn't exactly easy to replace when needed.
I proceeded to tape off the area to keep any finish damage yo a minimum. I then used a forstner bit to hog out most of the area and cleaned it up with a router and chisels.
A hole was drilled from the new cavity to the electronics cavity on the front of the guitar, yhe wires were installed and then it was all put back together.
Battery changes are now much easier and quicker.
