Ibanez Acoustic/Electric Warped bridge fix.
I picked this Ibanez up from a Pawn Shop for a very reasonable price because it had a lifting Bridge/ and sound board warp that made it unplayable. I decided to try a different fix on this one as I generally would pull the bridge and steam/clamp the top to take the bulge out. This time I wanted to try out a JDL Bridge Dr to see it it would do the trick and make this kind of fix a bit quicker in the future as it's fairly common.
I knew it wouldn't work straight out to the box because it's designed for a full size acoustic and this is a thin line, but I felt fairly confident I would be able to adapt it to work.
With some creative cutting I made it fit and work as designed. Once installed a turn of a set screw dialed in the top to factory flat in no time. The first picture is the before showing the amount of warp to the top and the second picture is a after showing the fixed top. The rest show the steps to fix the guitar. It now plays and sounds fantastic and has an action that is easy to play. Overall it was a quick and successful fix and this little acoustic electric went up for resale.
